Augmented Reality also known as (AR) and is a modification of the real world by using real life scenario in combination of the virtual world. In other words, it’s looking at the real world with holographic adjustments. A combination of real and computer generated images in real time.
Microsoft is currently in the works of releasing their first AR lenses known as HoloLens. The name says a lot about its product, holo-lens standing for holographic lenses. The goggle looking lenses are anticipated to be at a higher cost than current game consoles which are ranging from $300-$500, retail price is still unknown.

Samsung released the Gear VR powered by Oculus on 8 May 2015. The Gear VR is compatible to Samsung Galaxy Note 4, S6, and S6 edge. It’s like going into a whole new world instantly! With this awesome new device users are able to play movies, shows, and photos entering a 3D world at a high resolution. It will include a micro SD card with a collection of 360-degree videos and 3D movie trailers from major studios pre-loaded. Gear VR is currently sold online and Best Buy stores at a retail price of $199.99.
Samsung currently started offering paid apps for the Gear VR that will bring an exciting experience to users. Software developers are working to bring more games, movies, and apps that will be compatible to both devices.
