Discover the Savvy Social Media Strategies for 2017

December 7, 2016General, Marketing, SEO, Social MarketingMOTIONBORG

Every year, including in 2016, businesses and marketers have seen an expansion of social media. Once considered a faddish trend, social media has quickly become the new reality. Regardless, it is never too late to start a social media strategy. Social media gives businesses power to reach new prospects, and maintain existing customer relationships, in a way they never could before. These platforms empower you to literally build a community around your brand.

Just a few weeks ago, Buffer published their State of Social Media 2016 Report. In it, they surveyed over 1,200 marketers from businesses of all sizes. The participants included both B2B and B2C
marketers but the majority were from small businesses, 55 percent worked at a business with 1-10 employees and 7 percent worked for businesses with more than 200 employees. Moreover, the study included marketers within every industry, including Medical & Healthcare, Law and Legal Services, Non-Profits, Consumer Products, and more. It is from these insights that we can discover the savvy social media strategies for 2017.

Social Media Trends for 2017

  1. Video Is Taking Off – If you have spent any time on Facebook, then you know that video is starting to dominate news feeds. Moreover, features like Facebook Live and YouTube Live are
extremely popular. Adding this strategy early will give you the biggest return on investment. As more companies start using video, you will need to use native advertising to get noticed.
  2. Facebook Will Remain King – While some other platforms, like Twitter, struggle to expand the number of active users, Facebook continues to stand strong. Roughly 93 percent of online
marketers are using Facebook in their campaigns, with 91 percent paying for native advertising to get noticed. At MOTIONBORG, we know how to grow and inspire your Facebook audience.
  3. Use Social Support to Stand Out – One of the biggest complaints of consumers is poor responses to questions and comments made on social media. However, only 1 in 5 companies
are using social media with customer service in mind. If you want to stand out from your competitors, using social media for customer support is essential.

What haven’t we covered yet that is important to you? If you would like to talk about savvy social media strategies for 2017, or need more information, please contact us.
